Thank you to my online friends who’ve asked if my family and I are okay. Yes, yes, we are. I live in North Dallas — far away from the major flooding down by the Gulf. I appreciate your kindness and concern.
I wonder if you’d do me a favor — do you think we can take that concern and turn it into action, if we haven’t already?

Guys, Texas is a huge state. We are talking A LOT of water.
Here’s some ways to help: According to FEMA, we can connect with trusted volunteer organizations. We can also donate online or by phone.
Isn’t it amazing how quickly we can put concern into action with that Red Cross text?

My students came to class today. We enjoyed a pretty stress free back to school.
Thousands of children did not.
I will share these links with my students today, and we will make a plan to help our neighbors.
