Greetings to you from the last day of school (Help me. Please, someone send help.), first (or second, you lucky devil) day of Winter Break, or the day you may be wearing two different color shoes.

😂😂😂 When my oldest was 3 or 4, she regularly wore two different colored shoes (a red one and a blue one—“They’re both Crocs! They match!”). My mother thought I was crazy but it was a battle that wasn’t worth fighting. 😂😂

I have that and read parts of it but got distracted. 😂😂 I just tend to tell myself that these traits will serve them well when they become adults!

Just started the audio of Kindred by Octavia Butler. It’s time travel with a modern black woman in the antebellum South. I haven’t got far, but the storytelling is riveting. Fantastic narrator.
